Tutoring Experience

My expert subject knowledge and extensive experience of teaching the GCSE and A-Level curriculum allows me to push all my students to fulfil their potential.

I have several years experience in tutoring mathematics at KS3, KS4 (GCSE) as well as KS5 (A-Level).

Since the pandemic I have been tutoring online. I use a visualiser which projects a clear video feed of my written work to the tutee.

I take great satisfaction in seeing my students achieve exceptional grades.

Tutoring Approach

The main focus of my teaching is to help my students build a deep, long-term understanding of the subject. I aim to provide my students with the skills that will help them exceed during their own maths lessons at school. My approach is also focused on patience and positivity. I make sure that my students are comfortable enough to say if they do not understand a concept and that it is also okay to get a question wrong... a wrong answer is in my view a perfect opportunity to build understanding.

I help my students achieve their potential through my engaging style of teaching that focuses on mastering fundamental skills/concepts before moving onto harder ideas or exam practice. By doing this I will ensure my students have the best chance possible to get the grades they can get in their exams. Not only do I provide excellent teaching, I believe I am able to motivate my students to take more responsibility for their own learning outside of our lessons and to give it their all in their school lessons. I provide homework after each lesson and feedback is always provided to parents.
