I am available for private tuition in English and Mathematics for pupils of any primary school age. I can teach English and Mathematics from Reception Year through to Year 6. I also have thorough subject knowledge in the teaching of phonics for reading and writing.

I also specialize in preparing pupils in Year 2 and Year 6 for English and Mathematics SATs, as well as providing general tuition in English and Mathematics.
I also offer French tuition at primary level.

Tutoring Experience

I am a well-qualified teacher with an honors degree from Oxford University and 20 years of primary school teaching, supply teaching and private tuition, including tutoring pupils for Common Entrance exams. I have a wealth of experience of teaching primary pupils of all ages with a wide range of learning needs.

Recent teaching in Year 6 means that I am up to date with current curriculum requirements for reading, writing, grammar and mathematics and how to help pupils achieve expected standard/greater depth in these core subjects.

Tutoring Approach

With private tuition and one to one teaching and learning, I believe it is paramount that the tutor is patient, understanding and kind and builds up a positive working relationship with the pupil in order to help them to succeed.
