Online Maths Tuition

Maths For KS3 (MFKS3) is an online one to one maths tutoring service specialising in Key Stage 3 maths.
We believe that the foundation of your child’s maths education matters. This is why we need to unlock their mathematical potential early. We believe that the first stages of their secondary school education is the most important.
Confidence in maths starts early, ever so often pupils show very low self-esteem in their mathematical abilities due to lack of confidence. Breaking this barrier is our mission. Key Stage 3 years matters! It is of upmost importance to get it right early! Leaving it till KS4 might be too late!

Tutoring Experience

Hi, I am the founder of Maths For KS3 (MFKS3). I am a qualified maths teacher with qualified teacher status (QTS) and I have taught in secondary schools for 4years. I have worked with pupils of different abilities and needs in both KS3 and KS4, hence I have gathered invaluable experience of how pupils learn, the obstacles that they face and how to help them through it. For my tutoring services I would be specialising on KS3 as I believe that foundation matters! The pupils’ mathematical foundation matters hence we need to unlock their potential early. Having the right foundation in KS3 is the key to success in KS4 and beyond.

Tutoring Approach

From my experience I have seen pupils falling behind due to peer pressure and the inability to focus in a busy classroom environment hence they do not achieve their end of year target and they carry on from year 7 to year 11 secretly hating maths each and every day. A 60 minutes maths lesson in school is approximately 3 minutes individual time with the teacher. This is not enough time for the pupil to fully grasp the concept/skill taught. There is nothing more unsettling that seeing a pupil in year 11 with little to no basic maths skills. For these pupils the foundation of their maths journey as not been laid firmly hence they have to work extra hard to get a good GCSE grade. Well, enough is enough. We are drawing a line on unnecessary failure in maths. We are offering one to one online maths tutoring as a solution.
