Experience and diligence are the key consistencies of a successful teacher, both of which I have made the effort to acquire over more than 18 years of my high-yielding teaching career. I have been an IB EXAMINER (BIOLOGY AND IAs) for the past 12 years and GCSE EXAMINER (BIOLOGY) for the last 6 years. My specialization lies in Biology and ESS for IB levels and Science (Biology and Chemistry) for GCSE levels.
I find my teaching to transcend the synthetic geographical borders and time zones, having taught from Dubai and Malaysia to the US, India as well as the UK. With my vast, and still ever-growing, experience of teaching hundreds of students online and in person, I’ve sufficiently grasped the ability to get across challenging content and achieve measurable results.

Tutoring Experience

My over 18 years of teaching began in India where I had the opportunity to teach various educational curriculums at different schools including CBSE, GCSE, IB, and MYP. I then went on to my teaching role as global HOD of sciences at an International School in Malaysia and continue to teach at one of the reputable state schools in Birmingham. In my role as an examiner both for IB and GCSE, I have been able to perfect my skillset in my teaching career, as I can gain a deeper understanding of the testing mechanism that serves an integral role in my students’ lives and their best results.

Tutoring Approach

Having taught students virtually for more than 15 years, my teaching approach is based on creating a vibrant and engaging learning environment on the tutoring platform. As an experienced teacher, I place a high value on adjusting to the particular requirements and learning preferences of every student, understanding that individualized education is essential for academic achievement. As an examiner, I provide a valuable dimension to my teaching approach since I can offer students insights into the examination process and strategically lead them to obtain the best possible results. My objective is to provide students with the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their academic pursuits, in addition to imparting topic knowledge, by utilizing a blend of multimedia tools, real-world experiences, and focused exam questions. My dedication to ongoing development and keeping up with cutting-edge teaching techniques guarantees that my pupils will have an excellent and productive educational experience.
