I am a very experienced Mathematics and Economics tutor. I have been teaching for more than 10 years which also including examining work with AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
Tutoring Experience
I started tutoring in 2007 as an Economics and Mathematics student at Warwick University. I found tuition gave me the opportunity to practice my subject knowledge as well as help students truly understand a complex subject like Economics. The successes my tutees had were more rewarding than any other career I could have chosen so when I graduated with a Honours Degree in Mathematics and Economics I decided to work as a teacher and tutor full time.
I am currently teaching at an Independent sixth form college in Hendon. During January and over the summer I work as a team leader for several examination boards marking IGCSE, AS and A2 papers.
Tutoring Approach
I target what the tutee considers as weaknesses - I explain every concept using real life examples of current global issues. I provide exercises based on past paper questions and explain what is expected in terms of application, analysis and evaluation for every topic thus improving student's exam technique. I also provide clear, concise and informative revision notes and make sure I monitor students progress with weekly homework. I take pride in successfully predicting many exam questions due to my in depth knowledge of the syllabus and experience as a team leader for multiple examination boards.
