Hi! I'm Rowan, I've been a keen STEM student for the best part of 10 years now and have always enjoyed helping others develop their skills in the area. I'm currently doing a PhD in Chemistry at Imperial College London and would love to help those nearby with in-person tutoring, but don't worry if you're further adrift - we can do online tutoring instead! If you have a STEM subject you're finding difficult, or are looking to maximise your potential, get in touch and we can arrange a trial lesson.
I've been teaching throughout all the different education levels beginning from when I was 13. At the time I had the great privilege of teaching less-fortunate children how to read at my senior school. Ever since I have been engaging with different opportunities for teaching, whether it be with peers or through more formal avenues. Most recently I have been helping undergraduate chemists get to grips with their lab skills and theoretical knowledge through workshops and demonstrating.
I appreciate that you all have plenty of your plate with studying already, so I would like to keep as much of the tutoring within the session as possible, aka minimal homework. I believe that it's important to find a balance between working on the challenging aspects of your topic but also maximise your understanding of the more intuitive parts. Through this method of teaching I hope to improve your confidence and equip you with what you need to perform at your maximum!
