I am a Biochemistry Graduate from the University of Warwick. I have a deep understanding and love for the sciences which equips me to effectively teach these complex ideas to students in a simplified manner. I am a compassionate, kind, and patient tutor who strives to help his students reach their full potential.
I have been tutoring for the past 6 months in various different GCSE level subjects where I have been able to see considerable improvement in academic performance in the short time I have been tutoring. I also took part in a peer-to-peer teaching program at university where I helped teach first-year students new content to help them adjust to the increase in complexity of the content when compared to A-levels.
I believe that every student has very different academic needs and there is not one approach that accommodates all students. It is essential to assess a student's strengths and weaknesses to pinpoint how best to help the student. Whether that be helping the student understand the content, helping them apply their knowledge practically through various different questions, or teaching them exam skills to help them squeeze out some extra marks. I want to figure out what specifically a student is struggling with and help them where it matters. I effectively break information down and scaffold the learning for my pupils, ensuring that they are able to engage with the content in an accessible manner.
