Hi, I’m Rojin and I am going to UCL this year to study Medicine! I am passionate about science and maths and also have a deep appreciation for literature and languages being a fluent speaker of Farsi, an intermediate level speaker of Mandarin, and a GCSE-level speaker of German. This year, I am taking my A-Levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Mandarin and have been predicted A* grades across all these subjects.
I began tutoring in early 2020 and have worked with several students and companies ranging from primary school to secondary school age. I have extensive experience tutoring maths and have also been involved with writing mark schemes for 11+ papers. Alongside this, I have conducted medical school interviews with peers and am happy to help in any part of the medical school application, whether that is personal statement, work experience, UCAT, BMAT, tactical university choices, or interviews.
Whilst working with a student, I aim to foster a love for learning whilst helping the student achieve their personal goals. In this way, I take a student-centered approach; catering my lessons to the student’s specific learning style. In my lessons, I also make use of the Socratic method of teaching, which I have found keeps students engaged, facilitates a much deeper understanding of the subject, and promotes critical thinking skills.
