Hi, my name is Robyn and I am an A level law teacher with 6 years experience.

I have large amounts of legal knowledge as I also completed A level law, many years ago. I have continuously engaged with law since my A levels as afterwords I went on to achieve my degree in Law at the University of Leeds. Following this, I then completed my FE PGCE within the A level law department of a local college, and then straight from there, I became an A Level Law teacher.

As you can see, I have not had a break in my legal knowledge in 12 years - from being a student, to now being a teacher… I absolutely love A Level Law!

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching A level law since 2018 and have vast knowledge in the fields of: Criminal, Tort, Contract Law, as well as how laws are made and the English Legal System! I have experience on both the OCR and AQA specification.

Tutoring Approach

I am a very approachable teacher, I have been praised for my delivery of content and how I make lessons enjoyable and memorable. I often use worked examples to allow my learners to visually see how the answer should look. I also use dual coding a lot in lessons to chunk information into memorable pieces, as opposed to large amounts of text.

With regards to cases, I aim to help students remember them through trigger words. This snappy technique will condense the learners revision and make it more manageable, as opposed to learning mass amount of content. This will ensure the learner feels less overwhelmed with the content needed for the exam.

I give students various techniques when it comes to answering exam questions, this choice means they can engage better with the answer as they’re completing it in a way they’re comfortable with. By doing this, it allows the learner to reach full potential following their own preferred method.
