I am a calm and personable tutor with over 8 years of experience in helping students achieve their academic goals. I specialise in geography, a subject that I am passionate about and have a deep understanding of. I provide a premium tutoring service that focuses on both content mastery and exam technique. I have a track record of supporting students to meet or exceed their target grades, but I never make unrealistic promises. I tailor my tutoring sessions to the individual needs and preferences of each student, and I am flexible in delivering them online or in person.

Tutoring Experience

I am a seasoned geography teacher with 15 years of experience in various schools and roles. I currently work at Merchant Taylors’ school in London, one of the leading independent schools in the country. I have also been a Head of Geography, a Head of Year 12, a UCAS Advisor, and a Gifted and Talented Coordinator in the past. I have extensive knowledge of the exam boards and their requirements, as I have been involved in marking and moderating for them. I use this expertise to offer personalised one-to-one support to students, helping them to achieve higher grades than their school targets.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that exam technique and structure are the key to success in geography. I help students to master these skills by providing them with a scaffold to understand the syllabus content and apply it to the exam questions.

I also offer ongoing support throughout the week by marking and giving feedback on students’ work and answering any course-related questions they may have.
