I am a qualified teacher experienced in delivering online lessons preparing students for 11+ entry, KS3 and KS4 GCSE maths. I focus on understanding and getting to grips with concepts which makes remembering rules and formulae and comprehending what is asked for in questions much easier and, consequently, performing under exam pressure more successful.
A large part of success is having confidence in your own knowledge and I believe that I can help my tutees with that. I strongly believe that everyone is capable of doing well and fulfilling their potential academically if given the right tools and confidence. I am a very friendly and approachable person and can improve learning outcomes by identifying weaknesses and misconceptions and addressing those so that my students make effective progress in order to meet their target grades and maximise their potential.
I am also able to prepare students for 11+ examinations for grammar schools and independent schools.

Working with all year groups of secondary students preparing for the new curriculum specification GCSE at foundation and higher level.

Tutoring Approach

I see every pupil as an individual and will assess and plan work according to individual needs. I enjoy working with young people and can motivate and encourage them to get better results.
Secondly, I think it is essential to enjoy the subject and I aim to share my enjoyment for both learning and the subject.
Encouraging students to do independent work in between lessons is also important to ensure that our sessions are as productive as possible. I tailor my teaching and resources according to the needs and abilties of my students.
