Physics and Geography Lessons in Liphook

I am currently an enthusiastic, successful, and highly motivated middle leader in a large secondary school. I retrained as a teacher in 2013 after 12 years in business. I have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and PGCE in secondary education from St Marys University. I am now a passionate teacher of Geography and Science. I am also been a subject leader in geography for the last 6 years and Pastoral leader for Year 10. I am passionate about education and I am knowledgeable and approachable which will enable me to be an asset to any student wanting to make significant progress.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently an enthusiastic, successful, and highly motivated middle leader in the school, who has as both a subject leader in geography for the last 6 years and Pastoral leader for the last year, implemented changes to the department and Year group to see year on year improvements in both student results and departmental progress and standards in teaching and pastorally. I have both a Bachelor of Science honours degree and PGCE in secondary education and have been teaching and inspiring students for over 10 years.

Tutoring Approach

Overall pupil improvement and progress is fundamental to my approach to teaching and learning.

I am a true professional who remains constantly reflective in my leadership and teaching abilities and skills, demonstrating progress and accountability in all that I do. I am an approachable person, and a strong team player. An important reason why I retrained as a teacher, was because I had a strong held belief that every student, no matter their background should have equal access to teaching and learning and have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. This belief and mindset has certainly shaped my teaching and how I lead and facilitate my department and the pastoral team.
