I am a Cambridge graduate, PhD candidate, and experienced tutor.

I offer:

• Support with essay writing skills, personal statements, written applications and interviews university interviews (especially Oxbridge), across all disciplines.

• A proof reading service (e.g. for dissertation and coursework).

• Subject specific tuition in politics, criminology, sociology, social policy.

I'm also very happy to accommodate adult/casual learners across all these areas.

I can work with you to design a program of learning to develop your overall confidence and competence, or we can work together on a discrete piece of work (e.g. an essay, exam, interview).

Tutoring Experience

I hold a First Class degree from the University of Cambridge in Politics, Psychology and Sociology; and a Masters from the University of Edinburgh in Social Research. I am currently studying for a PhD funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.

I have also had a successful career working in policy, research and strategy within the civil service.

I have tutored intermittently over the last 10 years - and currently have more time to offer alongside my PhD. In the past I have helped adults and young people, particularly with University applications and essay writing as well as with University level sociology, politics, history and psychology.

Tutoring Approach

My approach focusses on helping my clients to structure and present their thoughts in a logical and ordered argument.

I hold an initial free consultation phone-call with all new clients, to enable me to understand your needs and the level of support required. The first session includes a 75% discount.
