I am an experienced Latin teacher with an outstanding track record for student achievement and a terrible sense of humour. I tutor for OCR GCSE and A Level Latin, teaching both the language and literature elements. My students achieve high grades and go on to top universities. I maintain a high standards, yet relaxed teaching environment, and I am keen share my love for the ancient world with my students.

Tutoring Experience

I am in my 11th year of teaching Latin and Classics in a top independent school in Brighton. My students typically achieve grade 8/9 at GCSE and A/A* at A Level, and have gone on to study Latin/Classics at Oxbridge, the best Russel Group universities, and top colleges in the USA.
I graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a BA in Latin, and have a top class Masters degree in Latin Teaching from the University of North Carolina. I regularly refresh my training through CPD from OCR and Oxbridge.

Whether you are studying for GCSE or A Level entirely through sessions with me, or if you are using my sessions to support your learning at school, I will make sure our sessions focus on what you need and challenge you to achieve your best. I will set and mark work for you, and provide personalised feedback.
I am friendly and down to earth, and I will make sure our sessions feel relaxed and enjoyable by making a lot of bad jokes, while making sure that you feel ready to succeed in your exams.
