I am a native English speaker with a degree in English from a UK university. I am a published writer and I have written many textbooks used all over the world.
I have a lively international outlook and enjoy meeting and working with different people from different cultures, and have spent many years attending international business conferences around the world. I travel widely.
I have a received pronunciation accent which my students tell me is easy to understand.
My qualifications include
* CELTA (Cambridge certificate in teaching English as a foreign language)
* BA in English
* Civil Service training.
I have many years of training experience in the UK Civil Service and in the intellectual property profession.
I have been specialising in teaching English as a foreign language since 2011, helping people to improve their vocabulary and grammar as well as their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. I have prepared students for IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, Life in the UK and much more.
I have also volunteered at the local college with English language classes for both adults and teens, with positive feedback.
My particular specialism is inspiring people to improve their writing skills at all levels, including academic writing.
I enjoy teaching academic writing, to help students for whom English is not their first language. I can help with writing skills at upper intermediate, advanced and university level.
I have taught academic IELTS for many years, as well as the Cambridge exams up to CPE level.
