I am currently in full time employment teaching Chemistry in Dumfries and Galloway. I achieved a Masters degree in Chemistry with Teaching, at the University of Strathclyde.
I am a friendly and approachable young teacher supporting all my students to achieve their potential no matter their age.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified teacher, currently teaching the National 5 qualification, so I am up to date with the course.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach varies depending on the needs of the tutee. I aim to enthuse and motivate my tutees as well as providing a friendly face that young people feel at ease asking for help with questions, to explain a concept or ask for support with work they are struggling to understand from class. I often use past paper questions to help prepare tutee’s for the style and level of question they will be required to answer in their final exam. Additionally, I can provide extra questions for tutees to answer in their own time and provide feedback on this.
