Raunak

My name is Raunak and I am currently a 2nd year medical student studying at the University of Oxford. I am extremely passionate about teaching and learning science and am very eager to help other students in their scientific journeys.

I achieved A*s in both A Level Chemistry and Biology and Level 9s in GCSE chemistry, biology, physics, maths, English literature and English language. Having recently completed these qualifications, I feel prepared and excited to pass on my knowledge, understanding and skills in an easily digestible and clear way to other students. I also received offers to study medicine from Oxford, UCL, King's and Manchester university so am very willing to help students who are looing to go into medicine.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring GCSE English and science to younger age groups at school. As a volunteer, I have tutored A level English literature and GCSE science to individual students. As a Sixth Form student, I was once able to teach part of an English literature lesson on poetry to a younger age group as I wanted to gain teaching experience. I received feedback that my teaching was highly engaging and thorough and that my students thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to make my teaching student-centred and I will tailor lessons to my student's topic of choice. I will explain the topic comprehensively, covering all the aspects of the syllabus. Throughout, I will ask and answer questions to ensure my student's understanding. We can then walk through specific practice questions based on the topic, working on exam technique and how to maximise marks.
I aim to make my lessons interactive, thorough and enjoyable and to ensure that my students always feel encouraged, supported and understood.
