I am a Head of Learning and Teacher of Economics A level who has produced top results for my students since transitioning from investment banking to teaching in 2021. In addition, I have taught financial literacy to both students and adults for many years (both basic and advanced).
I have been teaching A level economics for several years as well as tutoring individual students since 2021. Prior to this I was a partner at a boutique US investment bank for 24 years (18 years as a partner) working in the areas of corporate finance, economics and equity research/sales.
I specialise in teaching the approach to 25M questions for economics A Level. This is because it is the majority of the grade on the exam is comprised of these questions. In doing this, it helps me identify areas for improvement/knowledge gaps in addition to perfecting the approach to these vital questions. We can then also focus on theory when necessary.
My approach to Economics A level is practical and suffused with real world context to achieve top grades. I encourage my students to learn through application to real world scenarios, an essential skill for top grades at A level.
