I’m originally from Northern Ireland I’ve been teaching maths up to GCSE in a Liverpool school for 5 years now. I train to become a teacher through the Teach First program, gaining a PGDE from the university of Manchester. I believe that no one is ‘bad’ at math and that it’s just takes practice. I have an abundance of patience and can break difficult maths problems into smaller accessible steps.
I teach a wide range of abilities across key stage 3&4 and have also tutored students aiming for grades 6-9 in GCSE maths.
Simple approach of I do, We do, you do. Which means I will model and example (I do). Then we will do one together & I will ask student questions to prompt (we do) and then the student will attempt another question themselves (you do)
