I'm an experienced and thoughtful professional tutor with over a decade of experience in private tuition and education. My loves are reading, writing, and language learning, and I would be delighted to work with you to achieve your goals.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a private tutor for over a decade with a focus on the humanities and languages – Spanish, French, and English as a foreign language.

Essay writing is a crucial part of academic success and I am an experience teacher of essay writing skills. I have worked with students on short term coursework, essay, or dissertation projects, or to achieve longer term exam goals.

I have worked with children as young as 6 and as old as 65, but I work mostly with young adults during their secondary education and university applications.

I have a very strong track record of success with entrance examination tutoring, as well as Oxbridge personal statement tutoring.

I also have extensive experience working with students who have dyslexia.

Tutoring Approach

I see our sessions together as a collaboration, with my role as teacher to listen and uncover the best way for you to learn. We'll talk openly about what you want to achieve and work together to get there. I'm here to support, and we'll keep reflecting as we go along to make sure it's working for you.

I approach teaching with an attitude of care and non-judgment. We'll work hard to get the work done and learn, but confidence and trust is essential in the classroom and I believe a relaxed atmosphere is the ideal one in which to learn. That's why I encourage all my students to make mistakes and challenge themselves in our sessions. I'm here to help you achieve your goals, but also to enjoy doing it along the way.
