Tutoring Experience

I have a PhD and Masters in Chemistry. I love taking struggling students from low to high grades. My favourite example of this would be Lottie, who was achieving a grade 1 (U) in her Maths GCSE and, after tuition with me, achieved an Grade 8 (A) to her absolute delight!

Tutoring Approach

It is very important to me that the student fully understands the topic and I welcome questions to aid this. There is no such thing as a silly question!
I am very organised and like to plan each lesson ahead of time. I plan according to the student's current level and the areas where they are struggling. I initially identify these areas through discussion with the parent/student ahead of the first lesson.
I always give parents regular updates on how their child is progressing.
I am a great believer that practice makes perfect and that it is easier to remember something once you understand it.
