I have over 25 years' experience of teaching mathematics across the age and ability range in both state and independent schools.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a GCSE examiner and have taught GCSE Mathematics (9-1) at both Higher and Foundation levels, AS and A level Mathematics and Functional Skills Mathematics. I am familiar with the Singapore 'mastery' approach and have taught both KS3 and KS4 students using the White Rose scheme.

As a tutor I have also worked with KS2 students and prepared students for 11+ and high school entrance examinations.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor sessions to the individual, taking account of their interests, prior experiences, ability and preferred learning style. My aim is to nurture and develop confidence in mathematics so the student can achieve their full potential.
