Hi, I’m Pippa and I’ve been a teacher for over 8 years. I love to work with my students to build confidence, make links and inspire. The lightbulb moment makes it all worthwhile!
I primarily tutor maths and English and have taught key stage two for many years. I have experience of working with children with additional needs and am prepared to break sessions down into smaller chunks to aid focus and understanding.
I am patient, we will work at your pace and together we will achieve great success! We will start by discussing areas that you enjoy and ones that you find more challenging. With that in mind, I will develop a range of lessons to engage. If things don’t go to plan, that’s fine! I will adapt and we will look at tasks in a new way, whatever it takes.
It is important that for each session, you attend free from distractions so that you can fully focus on the task. Any homework tasks set from previous sessions will be discussed at the beginning of the following session. This will give you an opportunity to ask questions and for us to celebrate successes.
