Online Maths and Physics Tutoring

I am a 2nd-year masters student at Amsterdam (UVA/VU) studying Chemistry for Energy and Sustainability. I grew up in Athens, am 23, English/Greek, and did my Bsc in Warwick (UK). I'm an easy-going, passionate, versatile and sociable character defined by my enthusiasm for knowledge gathering and entertaining people. As an international, I have a lot of experience interacting with individuals from a vast variety of places and can always find relatable common ground with the people I work with.
I can be a perfectionist at times, which can be beneficial if applied correctly to tutoring. My available time within the coming months is fairly inconsistent, as a result, I can be quite flexible with lessons if needed.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring a variety of subjects and students for several years now. I started out teaching instruments when I was 14, moved on to STEM subjects during my IB years, and have taught approximately 50 students. I am familiar with a lot of different syllabuses and have experience teaching IB, A-levels, GCSE, IGCSE, Scottish Highers, Nat 5, ABRSM and Panhellenics.

Tutoring Approach

I feel that it is a real privilege to impart knowledge, especially to younger individuals. I seek to ignite a passion for science within my students so that they can engage with the lessons and not treat the subject as "work". Depending on the student and time of year I have different teaching methods, it is important to be versatile and adapt to their needs. Towards the exam season, I find it helpful to create a chart based on the given course's syllabus and the student's ability in each section. I consistently work through questions with my students to assess their skill level and determine which area needs more focus. I am constantly reviewing syllabus guides to ensure that I am covering all necessary content.
Ultimately, I treat all my students with respect and patience and believe I can be a great motivator for them to desire to achieve a higher potential.
