Phil

Hi there! My name's Phil - I currently work as a scientist for the utilities sector, but have previously performed scientific research investigating chemical decontamination. I have always enjoyed studying chemistry, choosing to study undergraduate it at the University of Sussex, and postgraduate at the University of Hertfordshire where I obtained my Master's by Research. I'm confident that I can help my students understand and excel at GCSE Chemistry, whilst making it a fun and relaxed learning experience.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is flexible and can be tailored to the student's needs. Whether the student struggles with examination style or understanding key concepts, I offer a calm, patient approach aided by text books, practice quizs and practical tools such as chemical models and electronic tablet to help tackle tricky problems.
