Art teacher in a Kent Grammar School for the past 13 Years. Before that I taught on a BA course (theory, studio practice and dissertation supervision) and in an inner London Secondary. I'm bilingual, originally from Germany.

Tutoring Experience

I'm an Art Teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience on both BA degree courses and in the classroom of a Kent Grammar School teaching Fine Art in KS3, KS4 GCSE and KS5 A-Level. I have a track record of excellent exam results, bringing students in above their target levels and getting them onto their chosen future courses. I can help with choosing suitable Foundation and Degree courses.
I have taught German up to A-Level and can offer a variety of targeted German lessons. This could be a grammar pick-up, honing pronunciation and fluidity, conversation classes or identifying gaps for upcoming exams.
I also have systematic experience of preparing Year4 and 5 students for the 11+ Exam with very successful results.

Tutoring Approach

I have a proven and tried method of teaching students how to draw and paint, providing clear scaffolding to achieve visible technical progress. I am very familiar with the assessment objectives of the exam boards and can identify areas which can maximise a student's outcome.
