I am a newly graduated student from Nottingham Trent University with a passion for mathematics but more importantly for teaching. After graduating with a first class degree in pure mathematics, I want to carry on helping others to succeed as I did in examinations but also to help make maths less daunting and more fun. My friends would say I’m chatty, approachable and enthusiastic which are traits I apply to my sessions to supply a top level of tuition.
I have helped guide multiple students, at GCSE level and A level, to achieve their desired qualification grades. This has given me an insight into the different ways certain people learn and how to appropriately prepare for examinations. I also teach water sports such as windsurfing in my spare time which has meant I have witnessed lots of different teaching styles as well as building my own confident and clear way of relaying information. My journey through education has also taught me a lot about the best ways to revise in regards to what information is needed and how to tackle different types of questions with my large knowledge on maths helping me to breakdown anything difficult to understand to make learning mathematics simple and fun.
My teaching style is fun but efficient. For my online teaching method, I like to use an onscreen whiteboard to display the working out done by myself giving you a chance to see how my method works but the aim is to let you do most of the work and as a result, get the most out of the sessions. Whether it is the qualifications you are doing it for or just to get a better understanding of mathematics, my aim is to help with both because the better you understand why and what you are doing, the easier it will be to do. Not many people think of mathematics as fun but the more you enjoy it, the more likely you are to remember it and learn! Although I am new to the site and have no feedback information, I believe you will not be disappointed with my tuition and with my help you will surpass any challenges you’d faced previously when tackling mathematics.
