I have four years experience in tutoring university students in study skills, referencing, and avoiding academic misconduct.
I completed my studies with a clear First Class Honours Degree in Modern History with War and Conflict Studies (2010). I excelled at research, methodology and academic writing.
During my studies I won the Hugh Hegarty Prize for Modern History. I was also a Student Ambassador for the Helena Kennedy Foundation, speaking twice in the House of Lords. My Head of History stated that, ‘Peter was a model student and certainly in the top 5% of those I have taught over a twenty year career.’
I have four years of experience providing tutorials to both students and academics on the issues of academic misconduct such as plagiarism, collusion and exam offences. During this time I have provided hundreds of students with one to one advice and guidance on study skills, referencing, research and academic writing.
I was enthralled and enthused by every part of my degree course. The topics I studied were sometimes dark and troubling and it was important to remain focused but at the same time remember the joy of learning. I maintained a very hard working attitude to my studies but also found ways to bring my natural sense of fun and good humour along with me. I try hard to impart those same values when providing help and advice to students.
