Hi, my name is Peter. I have a degree in Guidance and Counselling within the education faculty, specialised in English. I am married and I have 3 young children. I love spending time with them at the park and at the beach. We enjoy family time playing football and watching movies. Summer is my favourite season because I love the hot weather and my family is originally from Nigeria and Barbados.

Tutoring Experience

An experienced Teacher with an enhanced DBS (Police check) ---B.A. ED (Education), PGDM (Management) and PGDIP (Theology). Subjects: GCSE: Maths, Religious studies, Biology, English and Business studies KS3: Maths, Science and English 11+: Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Adult education I have 21 years of experience in tutoring primary, secondary and adult students. I first began tutoring in a professional capacity in January 1998 whilst studying as an undergraduate towards a B.ED Honours Degree in Guidance and Counselling with Educational Psychology. I also have a postgraduate in Business administration and just recently another postgraduate in Theology at Spurgeon College, London. I am looking to help more students than ever unlock their full potential and achieve their very best grades. I am a highly effective, results-oriented, easy-going, well-organised and friendly tutor with the patience, knowledge, understanding and methods required to get the best from the students I work with. I implement a variety of timed activities to monitor progress and establish focus points. I would work along the lines of the school work they are currently doing, while providing the extra help, resources and activities to enable them to flourish at school as well as helping them work towards achieving the best possible results in tests and formal examinations. The learning is centred on following the national curriculum to help children stay on target, improve and be able to challenge themselves at school so they can reach their potential and excel in their academic environments. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and teaching experience with those that require help.

Tutoring Approach

I am friendly and approachable. I like to switch between teaching styles depending on the needs of my students, I enjoy people asking me questions. I am patient, and empathetic and also understand people learn differently.
