Paul replied quickly to my messages. It was therefore simple to set up the trial tuition slot. We talked by phone beforehand to finalise the arrangements. Online lessons are not my son’s preferred way of learning. As he prefers lessons to be face to face. But he was determined to give it a go, because it has not been possible to find tuition locally in person. Therefore, we did not proceed with another online lesson with Paul for this reason.

After starting online lessons with Paul, I believe his explanations are clear and tailored to my daughters needs. The sessions are well-structured, Paul is organised and knowledgeable.

Paul has been instrumental in building confidence and knowledge in my daughter as she prepares for her A level Maths exam. Paul breaks down exam knowledge and technique into structured lessons.

Paul has been tutoring me with my A Level maths for a year now. I was struggling with mathematics during my first year of A Levels so I decided to seek out a maths tutor to help me and I am so glad I found Paul! He has been amazing and has really helped to boost my grades in maths as well as my confidence in my work. Whenever I have a question, even if it is something he has never seen before he is always able to explain it well and in a way that I understand. When we have our sessions he starts off my checking whether there is any particular topic I want to focus on or if there is a question I want to ask him, and if there is nothing we go through an exam paper together. This is extremely useful as it exposed me to the types of question that exam boards use and how to answer my questions to maximise my marks. Paul also gives me papers to do as homework which he marks and goes through with me so I understand where I went wrong.

Goes through questions from past papers and explains the content to make the question look easy

My son needed help with Maths A Level, after missing a lot of work this year and losing confidence and motivation. Enlisting Paul’s services has been great! My son feels the lessons are targeted, and very helpful, and I’d recommend Paul wholeheartedly.

Paul is tutoring Imran, my son, physics for over two months. Paul has identified gaps in his knowledge and gives work accordingly. Imran feels his physics knowledge has enhanced due to rigorous teaching and focusing on exam technique. Paul regularly gives homework and feedback on his work. Imran’s predicted grade in physics is A*.

He is also helping my son with his MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test) preparation, which is one of the requirements to study mathematics at Oxford University. Paul’s coaching has made Imran more confident in answering the extremely challenging questions of the Oxford University’s maths entrance examination.

I have no hesitation in recommending Paul for Maths and Physics tuition.

Paul is a tutor with an in depth knowledge of the subject and really breaks down each aspect of the topics. I really enjoyed my lesson with him. Unfortunately I will not be continuing lessons simply due to a difference in teaching styles.

Despite the current situation with the Corona virus this has not stopped Paul as he has set up online learning for my daughter. It works really well. My daughter is enjoying her A level Physics lessons with Paul as he explains things clearly. He sets her work every week which he then checks and wirks through any issues she may have and he makes sure she fully understands. I would definitely recommend Paul as a tutor as he offers feedback to the parent as well as the child.

I have Found Paul to be an excellent tutor. His approach to teaching is very professional and he is able to clearly explain difficult concepts in A-level Maths . With his help and experience as a teacher I have gained confidence in approaching challenging Maths questions. I have absolutely no doubt in recommending Paul as a tutor.

Only had 2 lessons so far but Paul was very professional in the run up to the first lesson and has helped already improve Maths knowledge through his teaching. Looking forward to continuing with Paul towards the exams later this year.

He has many years of experience so is very confident in teaching mathematics (both pure and stats and mechanics) and so is very able to help quickly with any type of problem.

What I particularly like about Paul is that the support he provides hasn't been limited to each session in isolation, but he has been available outside of the core times for assistance/feedback. For example, my daughter has been able to contact him with challenging questions and he will revert in good time with screenshots/working outs to explain a solution.

We contacted Paul after our sons GCSE’s results were not quite what he had hoped for. Although the results were the required level needed to take A’level maths his college tried to ‘encourage’ him to take another course and change his subjects. This caused some stress and turmoil at the time. We looked for a tutor and went with Paul. Thankfully
Paul came along and calmed things down. Restored my sons confidence and got him back on track, so much so he’s came 2nd from the top in his class with his latest tests. Paul has such a calm manor in his teaching (takes all the stress out of it) and with his excellent knowledge and teaching experience I strongly recommend him.

Paul is very thorough, well prepared and has a very strong understanding and knowledge of physics.
He is up-to-date with the all the exam board curriculum and makes it a point to tailor the sessions to the individual student.
