Tutoring Experience
Fifteen years teaching maths and physics A level in a state sixth form college and ten years as Head of Mathematics in a Private sixth form college.
More recently as a personal one to one tutor to a large number of students seeking additional help in their Maths and Physics studies.
I have also helped prepare students for the Cambridge and Oxford entrance examinations (STEP and MAT)
I have taught students for their examinations with all the major examining bodies.
Tutoring Approach
I aim to develop understanding and exam skills through extensive use of past papers, handouts and recommended texts. I will then go over any theory and methods necessary to ensure they reach the standard required for success.
To monitor progress, In addition to the the tutorials, homework is given, and marked with corrections and feedback provided. I am available, via email to provide help and guidance with any difficulties or questions a Student may have, responding within 24 hours.
