I am Head of Humanities for an academy part of a large multi-academy trust. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have a lot of experience at teaching Humanities subjects. My main specialism is Geography but i am able to teach all Humanities subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I teach students aged 11 to 18 and tutor Post-16 students. I have excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the new exam curricula. I have worked in a variety of schools and worked with students of varying abilities. In my most recent A-level group, two students achieved over 93% in their exam.

Tutoring Approach

I provide revision materials to students to help memorise key concepts which they will be tested on. I provide literacy strategies which will be practiced during sessions and also for homework to ensure that each tutee is able to exceed their target level. I also provide excellent resources which the tutee can take home and use for their own revision. Tutees will be assessed often to check progress and feedback will be given to improve their grade.
