Throughout my working and non-working life experiences, I have consistently encouraged and advised young and mature people on the pathways of academia. This was, of course, standard practice during my years working in secondary education. Having the necessary education awareness and an enthusiasm for development, I have naturally found myself giving such advice to friends and family members, subsequently gaining a sense of pride for their achievements.
16 years of teaching experience, as a teaching assistant, through key stages 1 to 4.
I have confidence in my ability to teach and feel a responsibility to convey the knowledge and experience I have gained. I also believe teaching English language and literature to be an important and rewarding profession, one in which I continue to pursue with commitment and passion.
