Tutoring Experience

I started tutoring informally about six months ago when a family friend asked if I could help their son with GCSE English Literature, he was struggling with essay structure and barely scraping grade 5s. After a few sessions working through past papers and teaching him my essay framework, he jumped to a grade 7 in his mock exam. Word spread, and I've since helped three other GCSE students with similar challenges.
These early teaching experiences taught me that what seems obvious to me isn't always obvious to others. I learned to slow down, check understanding frequently, and explain the same concept in multiple ways.
