Patrik

Hello, I'm Patrik and I'm currently a third year medical student at Imperial College London. Prior to this, I attended UHS, where I achieved 3 A*s at A level (maths, biology, chemistry) and nine grade 9s at GCSE level. I enjoy teaching maths and science specifically, which are the subjects I also enjoyed most at school. What I believe makes my lessons special is that I make them fun and personalised to each and every student - it's not just another hour of studying! Outside of school, I really enjoy traveling as it's a perfect way to escape an otherwise fast paced life in London. I'm also a huge fan of sports, cars etc.

Tutoring Experience

-Leading numerous educational assemblies at my high school, aimed at helping younger students.
-GCSE / A level tutoring (maths and sciences) with MyTutor - 1 year.
-Tutoring with Ringle - 1 year.

Tutoring Approach

To begin the lesson, I like to get a general idea of what the main area of focus should be - I tend to achieve this through a combination of talking directly with the student and questions that aim to test the understanding of the student, enabling me to pick out any areas of weakness. This allows for a student-centred approach, making each lesson personalised to each student's needs.
Once a clear area of focus has been established, we talk through the main concepts together, ensuring thorough understanding, before moving on to applied questions, where the student has the chance to put what we learned into practice.
To wrap up the lesson, I provide feedback and revisit any areas that still require improvement, which we could focus on during our next lesson.
