I have recently moved from classroom teaching to tutoring which allows me the time to focus on each student and understand their needs.

Tutoring Experience

I am an established teacher with experience in teaching all subjects at KS2 and maths at secondary school. Sometimes, secondary pupils struggle in maths because there are gaps in their learning or they developed misconceptions in primary school that need to be uncovered and rectified. My experience across a wide age range can help with this.

Tutoring Approach

My aim is for all students to be confident and resourceful learners who welcome challenges and understand that making mistakes is an important part of the learning process. In order to embed concepts, pupils need to be helped to make connections, spot patterns and have tools to represent ideas visually.
