I’m a doctoral candidate in Critical Applied Linguistics attached to the Institute of Education (IoE), University College London (UCL), and I’ve many years of experience in teaching English, English as a Second Language, English for Academic Purposess and Study Skills to a wide range of university students.

Tutoring Experience

I'm a Senior Lecturer in English by profession and I have been working in this capacity for 10 years. In addition, I've been working as a Postgradueate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) at the Institute of Education, University College London, since 2022. Some of the modules I have assisted with as a PGTA include Preparation for the Academic Studies in Higher Education (PASHE) EAP course and the two MA TESOL Pre-service modules – The English Language Learner, and Researching Second Language Learning. Furthermore, I’m also employed as a part-time Academic English Teacher at INTO London World Education Centre Ltd, UK. In this capacity, I’ve been responsible for delivering the modules, NCUK IFY EAP, Critical Thinking and Communication Skills, English Language for Foundation, and Study Skills. At INTO London, I’ve been teaching a wide variety of international students whose IELTS scores range from 4 to 7.5. All these teaching roles have involved not only active in-person and online teaching, but also setting up and marking assessments.

Tutoring Approach

I have a very friendly and relaxed teaching approach. I connect well with my students and help them gradually improve their English langauge skills. I help my students develop confidence in lsitening, speaking, reading and writing in English effectively.
