After three English tutors, I became clear on what I envisioned an English tutor needs to bring to the table to make a significant impact in teaching my son. When we had our first lesson with Oliver, I immediately knew this was the tutor we've been looking for. Oliver starts the class on a high note, his dynamic, positive energy engages my son from the first minute and sets the tone for the lesson. My son absolutely enjoys his classes with Oliver, which is a huge improvement in itself considering he struggled and became anxious around English with previous tutors. My son appears to feel more confident and even his expression has improved. We are very happy with Oliver and highly recommend him!

I wholeheartedly recommend Oliver as a GCSE Tutor. He helped me go from a C in my mocks to an A in only a couple of months, my parents were actually shocked. I actually feel like I understand the questions now. He’s such a friendly and engaging tutor too - he actively takes an interest in my progress outside of class-time and treats me like an actual person in our lessons as well instead of just a kid, which is honestly a refreshing experience. Oliver has been teaching GCSE english for my son and daughter. It has been very helpful and I can see that their grades have gone up considerably. Oliver has been an excellent tutor for my son to help him with his IGCSE. He is very dedicated and provided my son with great strategies on how to tackle difficult parts of the course.
My son become much more confident in his abilities especially Othello after Olivers’ help. With Oliver’s support my son was able to up his grade to an A in the IGCSE - a great outcome.

He is an excellent teacher, works well with my son, gives feedback and guide him on how to improve his work. He is always very easy to communicate with, prompt and understanding.

Oliver came into our lives at a difficult time. My daughter was really struggling with A'Level English Literature for many reason's but not because she wasn't capable as her school made her feel. She had very little support and understanding and her confidence was at rock bottom.
After Christmas, my daughter broke down and asked for help.
I struggled to find a tutor, we were part way through year 13. I can only explain it as though the Clouds parted and we found Oliver. Fate!
In 4 months, Oliver's unwaivering support, direction, focus and feedback changed everything. He went above and beyond in all respects. There is a very big difference in being taught by someone who loves what they do and someone who doesn't. He was always clear in communication, we had milestones and strategy and real conversations.
How did her story end, with an A of course!

Oliver is tutoring my son (year 9) with English GCSE language and Literature. The feedback from my son is always positive after a lesson highlighting Oliver's enthusiasm and efforts to make the lesson as engaging as possible. My son genuinely looks forward to his lesson and seems to be more engaged. Oliver encourages him to take charge and asks him what he wants to focus on rather than sticking to a rigid plan. So far its going great and I'm sure it will continue like this.

Christine is a fantastic German tutor. She has great energy, is super organised. Her lessons are always well prepared, and also well planned with homework. She has been generous with her time and she clearly understands what is needed for this subject and manages to encourage and motivate my teenage daughter to work towards what she needs to be. We all like her so much.

This young man is exceptionally learned and well manered. Oliver espouses excellent work ethic and thoroughly enjoys imparting knowledge. He has the natural ability to perfectly bond with his students, quickly analysing their needs and formulating the perfect teaching plan.

Our son, Hudayfah has received tuition in English from Oliver two lessons a week throughout the Summer break, inspiring confidence and making significant improvements in all the areas where he was struggling. We are extremely pleased with Olivers approach and the results are self evident.

A free initial discussion with Oliver was a helpful way to ensure our concerns were understood and enough to give us confidence that he will do everything needed to help our son gain confidence to tackle the issues he’s been finding challenging in the time frame we suggested. I’ve found my lessons with Oliver a sheer pleasure so far. I’m not studying for exams, and just wanted someone to help me understand and appreciate literature a bit better as I’ve always felt a bit left out. I came to Oliver about 3 months ago to see if he could help with my youngest. I’m immensely grateful for the help he’s been able to provide. He worked with Alex on the basics – writing, reading, comprehension, but also helped him develop his own individual writing voice, and explore the sort o**Contact Detail Removed**s he actually enjoys. I think he might actually even like reading now! Oliver also helped us prepare for the 13+ as well as interview prep for the London day school circuit, which has been an enormous help.
