Private Mathematics tutor for primary and secondary school children (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 level). I also support with preparation for 11 plus and 13 plus entrance exams, SATs and GCSE exams. I am DBS certified and provide one-to-one or small group sessions. I have a strong mathematical background having graduated with Bsc. Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science (modules included Mathematics, Statistics and Econometrics).

Tutoring Experience

My passion for teaching has led me to become a part-time Mathematics tutor. I am currently tutoring students of varying ages, including those working towards 11 plus and 13 plus entrance exams, GCSE exams and A-Level exams.

"My son started Maths group tuition with Nish in August 2021. He was average a level 4-5 at KS3. I knew he could do better and enrolled him with Nish at Vidya Learning. Tutoring Approach

I believe consistency and discipline is key in developing a solid foundation in Mathematics. I therefore recommend weekly lessons to all my clients.

I adapt my tutoring to the requirements of the student - for example I can take a methodical approach to cover the whole curriculum over a longer term tutoring plan, or alternatively I can adapt and cover specific topics that the student wants more help with. For exam preparation, I support students on topics they find challenging and areas they are less confident in. I focus on improving the understanding of the mathematical concepts and teaching effective ways of tackling exam questions. After covering each topic, I leave the student with an assignment so they can practice what they have learnt.

I believe in discipline and take a firm approach with my students with regards to completing all their assignments and by progress tests to ensure they are revising the topics we have learnt on a regular basis.
