Nigel

I have over 10 years experience teaching in secondary education and 5 years working as Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a school in Oxfordshire. I obtained my PGCE from the University of Oxford. I have a deep understanding of GCSE and A-Level exam boards for Modern Languages, as well as being able to build a rapport with young people.

Tutoring Experience

Having completed my PGCE at the University of Oxford, I worked as Head of Department at a secondary school. I worked with A-level and GCSE students on a daily basis and understand the requirements to achieve top grades in these exams. I have a thorough knowledge of both languages and have a degree in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham.

I have taught extensively online using Microsoft Teams, Zoom and on tutoring websites. I have good IT skills and am confident in my ability to impart knowledge in an online classroom.

Tutoring Approach

I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher and aim to deliver tutor sessions that allow for rapid academic progression. All sessions will have clear and challenging goals in order that students will reach their maximum potential.
