I am an experienced primary school teacher available to tutor and home school children from 5 to 11 years old, in English and Maths. I believe that every child can achieve its potential and that tutoring can contribute to achieving this goal.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 26 years and have taught all subjects in KS1 and 2. I have been a Deputy Head Teacher responsible for teaching and learning which has helped me develop my knowledge and understanding of the whole primary curriculum as well as the expected standard that children need to achieve at the end of each year group.

I have been tutoring and home schooling children of different age groups online as well as face to face. I am currently working as an intervention teacher and help children in Year 1-6 improve in Maths and English.

Tutoring Approach

I am dedicated and passionate about making a difference to a child’s life. I have a warm and enthusiastic approach to teaching which helps me to build a relationship with my students. Every child is different and every child learns best in a different way.I believe that tutoring gives learners the opportunity to study at their own pace and customise my lessons around the child's needs. Through my work, I hope that I can make some contribution towards shaping the future of the children I teach.
