I work on a very personalised level with you and your child to achieve your goals, specialising in primary reading, writing, maths, year 6 SATs and phonics skills.

I strive to support your child in the best way possible, and adapt strategies and teaching methods to meet your child’s individual needs.

I am a highly experienced primary school teacher, having now left the classroom to provide specialist and expert support to children on a 1:1 and small group basis.

I provide tuition in all areas of the primary curriculum, and also support children in confidence building.

Tutoring Experience

I qualified as a primary teacher in 2008, and have worked in schools until 2022, when I began tutoring.

Over my teaching career, I have had opportunities to work right through from nursery to year 6. I have supported children through their SATs with great success.

As a mainstream teacher, I have had a lot of experience working with children with a variety of needs and adapted teaching methods to fully support them. I have experience of working towards children’s targets on individual education plans and SFPs.

Tutoring Approach

The teaching approach that I use varies with each child - every child is different, has different needs and requires different support to help them to reach their potential.

I believe that every child can achieve, and that with the right support they will do. I will initially discuss with you, what your aims are, the support that you would like, and how your child learns best. From there, I will tailor learning to suit you and your child to achieve your goals.

I am a positive teacher, very calm, and always build a relationship with your child in order to allow them to reach their potential.
