Nick's Feedback

We have only been with Nick for a couple of weeks so far but he is fantastic. He has definitely taken away a lot of stress from myself and Alaina loves her time being taught by him. He was the best choice we made and we look forward to a fabulous end result. So, so far thank you Nick glad to have you with us.

Nick has been a fantastic tutor for our daughter who was struggling with confidence in maths and becoming rather overwhelmed with the subject. Nick was reliable every week and made the online lessons fun - our daughter actually looked forward to the lesson! Our daughter's confidence improved and having just received her GCSE results was delighted to receive a grade 7. Brilliant!

Nick is a first class tutor, who genuinely cared about our sons’ progress. He was very quick to unlock the potential in our ‘maths phobic’. After a very short period of time, I was amazed to witness a significant improvement in confidence as well as a dramatic change in attitude from our son.
We are both teachers ourselves and we both used to enjoy dipping in and out of the room to listen to Nick’s maths lessons. He has an excellent sense of humour, which really appealed to our son, and instinctively knew when to stretch him and when to support. I can not recommend Nick highly enough to anyone looking for an inspirational maths tutor. The icing on the cake was that our son achieved a solid 6 in his GCSE maths exam, which was a huge improvement from a 4 in his mocks.
Look no further.

Nick was amazing. His positivity and humour have meant the world to our previously maths phobic son and he has coached him until he has taken all three GCSE maths papers in his stride. We await the results (fingers crossed) but going from a 2 to a 5 in a couple of months is remarkable progress. It would have been hopeless without Nick. I unreservedly recommend Nick as an excellent, friendly and skilled tutor.

Nick has been fantastic, my godson needed tutoring to see him through his crucial maths retakes. Nick professional but approachable demeanour meant that Ollie got 100% engaged and was able to maximise the opportunity. Nick was flexible and really communicative throughout the duration, and even kept in touch throughout the period we were awaiting the results and even helped us formulate a “Plan B” should the results not be as hoped. The most important part of all this is Ollie got the results he needed. This was in no small part due to the work Nick put in. Thank you Nick!!…

We are so pleased to have found Nick. He is a great tutor. Our daughter has never been confident with maths and as she is in her first year of GCSEs that worried us.
After a few sessions with Nick he has already helped her gain confidence and she is enjoying maths . He has the ability to make complex topics seem simple . Nick really made a difference with Hannah, not just in maths but across the board as she started to believe in herself when before she thought it was all beyond her ability. Nick has a gift in improving the self esteem and the 'I can't do this' mental block that many kids develop about Maths. Nicks tutoring style was instrumental in breaking this belief and it has had a positive knock on effect for Hannah beyond maths

Nick has been absolutely fantastic in engaging with our son over Skype during lockdown. The lessons have gone really well, and he looks forward to them. Nick is so enthusiastic and works at just the right pace to ensure understanding but also to challenge further, we have definitely seen improvements after only 4 weeks. In just one hour, Nick had helped Freddie with 3 things he didn't understand. He now wants to skip maths at school and go to Nick for those sessions instead as he understands how Nick explains things, whereas his maths teacher at school leaves him confused and lacking motivation. My son is enjoying lessons with Nick and looks forward to seeing him each week , since we started he has grown in confidence and knowledge, Nick has proven to be a highly skilled teacher and I would most definitely recommend him.

We met Nick the other day and I sat in on the first session. My daughter often struggles in educational settings but Nick's manner set her at ease. The lesson was positive in tone, focused yet relaxed. He answered her maths queries informatively and his exposition of the methods made them clear. The room is a very pleasant environment. Nick is excellent. Very friendly and relaxed sessions. He is very good at picking up where issues lie and building confidence. Form parental perspective he is open and honest and manages expectations in a realistic way.
