Hi, I'm Nick and I am a QUALIFIED MATHS TEACHER.
I'm in the fortunate position of being full until the June 2025 GCSE's are complete.
I qualified as a maths teacher in June 2009, after a career as a mechanical engineer working both home and abroad.
l worked for 6 years at Blessed Edwards and two years at Bishop Perowne.
I worked as a 1-2-1 tutor at Nunnery Wood and Blessed Edwards tutoring over 150 children and including small group tutoring at Nunnery
I now work full-time as a maths tutor available weekdays am through pm.
My area of expertise is tutoring Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Maths
I am fully conversant with the syllabus for maths for all the major exam boards for GCSE Edexcel, OCR and AQA and IGCSE.
I am registered as a maths tutor with Worcester Council.
Please be aware that tutoring in the UK is unregulated, please ensure that your chosen tutor is suitably qualified and knowledgable in all aspects of subject matter and teaching.
I am friendly, funny and work hard and I expect my students to put in good effort during our sessions.
I offer Zoom and face-to-face lessons
I tutor from my home using a large white board, so both visual and auditory learners are provided for.
Parents can drop off their children and pop up the the road to Waitrose or are equally welcome to stay with us for the duration of the session.
My focus is on teaching methods for maths for passing exams with emphasis on analysing and completing past papers.
A significant part of my approach is motivating students and mentoring.
Please contact me for any questions.
Many thanks
