One lesson in, and I am incredibly impressed. Excellent communication, relevant preparation in advance of the session, detailed feedback following the first session and most importantly my daughter enjoyed the session, and came out smiling. I would strongly recommend Nick for anyone looking for support for their child.

Nick did a great job tutoring our daughter for GCSE Eng Lang and Eng Lit. In her mocks in December she obtained grade 5 in both subjects. For the real exams in May she obtained a Grade 9 in GCSE English Literature and also a Grade 9 in GCSE English Language. We were all shocked and delighted.

Nick has all the right experience. He knows the subject matter, what the examiners want, and how to teach effectively.

Nick started tutoring our son 1-2 times a week from July 2020 in preparation for his GCSE exams this summer. Our son always struggled with English with low confidence with predications in the 5/6 range. Nick was very precise and worked diligently & patiently on helping improve his approach and technique & our son succeeded in obtaining an 7 in English literature & 8 in English language, which a year earlier would have been considered very ambitious and aspirational! Nick is a very good tutor and was able to build excellent rapport with our son from first lesson. His effective and unique approach in getting our son much more interested and engaged with the various English subjects and topics was amazing. He’s very flexible and always willing to support. Having never used a tutor before, Nick was prompt to reply to our request and reliable from the outset. He always arrived on time and communicated all homework and updates regularly without fail.
