I have been a teacher since 1990 and have personally tutored 100s of students since then to gain entry into their top choice of secondary school or to top private schools and/or universities here in the UK through tutoring in person or online as well as tutoring internationally online.
I have been a Head of Department in Modern Languages at two selective independent schools as well as a State Grammar School, teaching both French and Spanish to A level. I have also been a Head of Department for Students learning English as an additional language. I have also taught Maths, English and Science to Common Entrance / 11+ and KS3 level since 2011 and English to GCSE level.
I have very high expectations of my students, am very patient and positive in my approach and look to build confidence levels very quickly. I would aim to enable any student to gain entry into their preferred secondary school or to achieve their target grade/s in any of the subjects I presently teach at KS2/3/4 or 5. Those students who have enrolled with me since year 4 for 11 plus Grammar School entrance have a 100% success rate of gaining entry into their first choice of Grammar School; those students who have enrolled since the start of Year 5 have an 95% success rate.
For Independent School Common Entrance examinations I prepare students for Whitgift, Trinity, Tonbridge School, St Paul's, Westminster, Caterham and Dulwich College.
I can teach Spanish, French (and Portuguese) from KS2 to A level with both subjects and can teach all syllabi, having been an examiner for the majority of the exam boards, and regularly hold revision classes for both GCSE and A level in these languages.
In the last year my students have gained places in Wilson's School, Epsom College (2), Reigate Grammar School (scholarship) Whitgift (2 scholarships out of 3 students) Trinity (2) City of London (1) Tonbridge School (1) Caterham (1) for 10 plus and 11 Plus Entrance Exams.
For GCSE Spanish and French my students have achieved grades 7 (1) 8 (1) 9 (3)
