I am based in Motherwell, however am willing to travel. I have two young children and this has given me a greater understanding of the desire parents have to ensure their children have the best opportunities in life. I develop individualised plans for all young people whom I work with.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced classroom practitioner with 19 years teaching experience, I am currently a Depute headteacher in a North Lanarkshire primary school. I have extensive experience working with with young people in both a mainstream setting and a specialised provision where I have worked with young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs from the age of 5-17.

Tutoring Approach

I provided a personalised approach to each young person I tutor. I ensure firstly I get to know each child individually and assess their academic needs through recognised assessment before planning and implementing a personalised action plan. Research suggests all young people learning differently therefore I develop my plan of action around the way their needs can be best met. I use current and up to date approaches in conjunction with current teaching materials.
I collaborate with parents to provided weekly updates on progress and I am happy to provide realistic short and long term goals.
