Hello, my name is Miss Neveen, but you can call me Miss Nev for short! I am a fully qualified teacher from the U.K., and I’m so excited to be part of your learning journey this year! I specialise in working with children aged 7–11, offering high-quality, personalised tuition designed to build confidence and deliver results. I am passionate about helping you achieve your goals.
Some of my absolute favourite things:
- Food: I enjoy making new dishes from different cuisines and pride myself on cooking the perfect thin-crust pizza!
- Friends and family: I love meeting my friends for coffee and enjoy watching movies with my husband. We also enjoy travelling together and experiencing new foods and cultures. My favourite country to visit is Greece.
- Pets: I have a cheeky 10-year-old dog called Lucca. She is very playful and energetic. She insists on sitting on my lap when I’m working!
- My best friend: I have one sister who is a professional lawyer. We like to cook together and often have food 'cook-offs'! She really is my best friend.
- Games and books: I’m always up for a good board game or a tricky puzzle—I like a challenge! I'm a big fan of funny stories. My all-time favourite book is The Twits by Roald Dahl.
- Music and film: I love singing Disney songs and anything by Taylor Swift. My favourite films are Disney’s The Lion King and a film called Wonder.
- My favourite quote:
"If you can dream it, you can do it." – Walt Disney
I'm a UK-qualified Key Stage 2 teacher, and I really love what I do. I've been teaching for 22 years, both in and around London, and I'm super passionate about helping young children learn and grow. I’ve always had a big love for reading and creative writing, and I truly believe in the magic of using your imagination and intricate language features that can take your readers on exciting new adventures.
I understand that some children can find the classroom settling quite stressful and getting to school is a challenge for some. Having one to one tutoring allows the student to feel more relaxed and learn at their own pace!
I have worked with many children that have SEN (Special Educational Needs) and children who are Gifted and Talented. I enjoy adapting my teaching style to their particular needs and areas of interest.
As a primary school tutor, I believe that every child learns best when they feel safe, supported, and confident. My approach is warm, encouraging, and tailored to each child's unique learning style and pace.
Fun and Engaging Sessions
Learning should be enjoyable! I use games, stories, creative tasks, and hands-on activities to make learning come alive and keep sessions engaging and memorable.
Growth Mindset Focus
Mistakes are part of learning! I encourage children to see challenges as opportunities and help them develop resilience, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Clear Communication
I regularly update parents and carers on progress, goals, and strategies. I also love to hear what’s working at home so we can work as a team.
