Online Physics and Chemistry Lessons

Hi there! I'm Vanessa, and I'm thrilled to offer my support as a science tutor for KS3 and GCSE students. With a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine from The University of Nottingham, my passion lies in understanding the intricate "innermost workings" of the world around us, a journey I embarked on because of my deep curiosity about how things function at a fundamental level.

Recently, I have started working in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, which has further deepened my understanding of scientific principles in a practical, real-world setting. I truly believe that while exams can be nerve-wracking, they don't have to be a source of stress. My approach to success involves active recall through the focus on learning how to properly answer exam questions. I will hard work with you, we will start revision, early and focus effort on challenging topics.
I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, and I'm committed to providing a patient, supportive, and collaborative learning environment. I will always listen to your needs, work with you to identify areas where you need the most help, and do my utmost to help you achieve the best possible grades.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring online for 4 years and counting.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on active recall through teaching you exam command words, how to pace yourself in exams, how to use key words to maximise marks, how to learn and retain the content and apply that to exam questions ensuring you are confident in your ability.
