I am a recently retired Maths teacher from a prestigious grammar school n Tunbridge Wells, relocating to the Hythe area in summer 2025 There are many tutors available with a range of backgrounds but I believe it makes a huge difference to have a current teacher who is in the mainstream of syllabus changes and exam board feedback and training and who is teaching from the same textbooks as the student is often using at school. I will be taking bookings for September 2025 in an area roughly 20 mins drive from Hythe. I have had few web sourced students as I have built up waiting lists from word of mouth recommendations in the Tunbridge Wells/Sevenoaks area.

Tutoring Approach

I tend to tutor and ahead or behind the taught syllabus. This provides a grounding for new topics so that the student has confidence when the topic arises in class and a sweep of slightly historic topics to see if they have stuck (providing consolidation for tests).
